Conscientious chefs and fish mongers realize that early April is the beginning of wild salmon season. Available at Gordon's Fish for about 6 weeks a year is Columbia River Salmon. This year, 2010, we expect the supply to last through first, maybe even second, week of June. You don't have that much time!
Although not as cold a river as The Copper River, Columbia River Salmon is simply one of the best flavored fish, known for its fat content and clean environment. It can be prepared in many ways.
During off-season, we carry premium quality frozen king and coho salmon. The fish are FAS, which stands for Frozen At Sea and means that they were frozen right after being pulled out of the water. That translates into near fresh quality when the salmon are thawed out here, at Gordon's Fish.
